Have Drivers?
Have drivers? Then you need to have a fleet safety
program.
According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), motor vehicle crashes
are the number one cause of work-related injuries. Every 12 minutes someone dies in a motor vehicle
crash, every 10 seconds an injury occurs, and every 5 seconds a crash occurs.
These incidents occur during the workday while conducting business in a company car. Employers bear
the cost for many of these incidents with increased operating expenses. These costs include workers’
compensation, auto, and employer liability insurances. Motor vehicle crashes cost employers $60 billion
annually in medical care, legal expenses, property damage, and lost productivity.
Whether you manage a fleet of vehicles, oversee a mobile sales force, or simply have an employee run
company errands, implementing a fleet safety program in the workplace is a must. You can greatly reduce
the risks faced by your employees and their families while protecting your company’s bottom line.
This interactive workshop will give you the tools to
establish a fleet safety program necessary for all companies
that have fleet vehicles.
Implementing Fleet Safety Into Your Injury & Illness Prevention Program
As an employer with fleet vehicles, it is your responsibility
to have a fleet safety program. Cal/OSHA will discuss
fleet safety and how to incorporate this subject into
your company’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program
(IIPP). Topics to be discussed include:
- Company safety culture
- Employee safety
- Education
- Awareness
- Safe operation of vehicles
Who Should Attend?
- Owners
- Managers
- Supervisors
- Safety program leaders
- Fleet safety program administrators

Office Ergonomics Workshop (Two-Day Workshop)
Ergonomics is the study of the problems and
the solutions associated with the interaction
between the physical demands of work and
the individual capabilities and limitations of
the human body. When ergonomic principles
are understood and applied, job productivity
can increase and employee disabilities due to
musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) may be
reduced.
This two-day workshop will help you
recognize poor ergonomic design and reduce
ergonomic injuries as you look around your
office. You’ll learn that ergonomics is a process
and that you have the ability to help your
employees to remain injury free and be more
productive.
